- Is it strange for a Christian to talk to an AI?
- It shouldn’t replace church, prayer or people who know you. Micah is closer to a notebook that answers — it holds what you’ve said and points you back to Scripture. The longer answer is here.
- Which tradition does Micah speak from?
- Yours, if you tell it. Under You you can set the tradition Micah speaks from — Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican, Lutheran, Reformed, Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal or non-denominational — and it will speak naturally within it without preaching it. Left unset, Micah assumes nothing about your practices and stays within historic Christian orthodoxy; on contested questions it tells you the positions exist rather than picking one for you. What each setting changes.
- Do I need the app, or is the web enough?
- The web is enough. Conversations, memory, check-ins, spoken replies and sermon uploads work on micahapp.com and in the apps, and stay in sync. Seeing what Micah remembers, taking a copy of your data and deleting your account work from You on the web or in the app; Start fresh is on the web for now. The apps add reminders and follow-ups on your lock screen, if you ask for them, and recording a sermon as you hear it.
